The Therapist performs diagnostic assessments and clinical services within the office setting. This position is responsible for individual, family & group counseling along with crisis intervention services and case management. This licensed provider will engage as a member of a collaborative team. With a Trauma informed approach, this position will be a representative for the organization and how we offer integrated services for recovery and mental health. Position may be specific to residential or outpatient clients & families or a combination of both
More specifically, this therapist role is primarily responsible for the following:
- Provide trauma informed services to clients and their family system.
- Provide accurate, concise and concurrent documentation according to program procedures and policies. Including, but not limited to diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Provide consultation and collaboration with community partners and clients’ treatment teams. Promote New Directions services and engage in outreach activities.
- Providing practical skills focused individual therapy.
- Makes referrals for clients and/or family members as appropriate.
- Identifies potential areas for crisis and proactive plans to prevent it.
Position Requirements:
- Associate’s degree required Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CDCA certification required.
- LSW or LPC preferred.
- 2 years experience working with adolescents and their families involving addiction and mental health treatment
- Experience working with parents and legal guardians of the clients in a family counseling setting.
- Must have valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record (4 pts. or less).
