Echo Technologist
The primary role of the cardiac sonographer is to obtain diagnostic recordings of cardiac ultrasound images and Doppler hemodynamic data. The technique is operator-dependent, and its optimal performance requires a highly skilled and well-educated individual who can continuously integrate known clinical information, ultrasound image content and related physiologic data to tailor the examination to ensure that it is comprehensive and accurate.
Work schedules are coordinated to ensure adequate workload coverage at the hospital. Echo Technologists are required to participate in on-call rotation based on department needs outside of business hours.

Qualifications:
- Graduate of a certified cardiovascular technology school and/or graduate of an accredited ultrasonography program with an emphasis in cardiac sonography. Registry required within 6 months of hire.
- 1-year cardiovascular echocardiogram experience "preferred"
- Registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer / registered cardiac sonographer eligible.
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Exercise independent judgement and apply knowledge of clinical cardiology and use problem solving skills.
- Must be skilled in selection of relevant echocardiographic data
- Must be skilled in adult and pediatric echocardiography.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Effective problem identification and resolution skills
- Knowledge of transesophageal and 3D Echocardiography preferred
- Use of usual and customary equipment used to perform essential functions of the position.
