Job Summary: 

The physician provides routine health maintenance, management of chronic conditions, and management of acute illness. Performs diagnostic, preventive and/or therapeutic services. Duties also include providing appropriate referrals to other providers for problems identified by health assessments, assisting administration in planning for delivery of medicine as requested and providing consultation to other providers as needed. This position would offer services at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Fisher-Titus Medical Center, and Magruder Hospital. Would require 1 week of call per month. 

 Essential Functions:

1. Perform an appropriate medical history, initial assessment, and examination of the patient. 

2. Assess patient’s condition and develop a treatment plan.

3. Diagnose and treat disorders and diseases 

4. Collaborate with other physicians to ensure the  health of a patient. 

5. Order and prescribe treatment by physical medicine and therapy. 

6. Advises patients about long-term treatment and management for chronic illnesses.

7.. Completes all documentation and paperwork in a timely manner.

11. Positive, people-centric leadership style, be able to grasp complex problems quickly and provide reasonable direction and counsel.

Education and Work Experience:

1. Doctoral degree with directly related experience in Oncology

2. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology

3. DEA Certificate. 

4. Ohio Licensure or the ability to obtain. 

Environmental/Working Conditions:

Combination of exam rooms, medical offices, and operating room. Frequent exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medicinal preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment.

Physical/Mental Demands:

Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 10 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stress in emergency situations and irregular hours.

Working Conditions, Physical & Mental Demands: This position works in an environment that is a combination of medical office and exam/procedure room settings. The office is well-lighted, well-ventilated, adequate space. There is the potential for exposure to communicable diseases and other conditions common to medical office setting. The ideal candidate must be able to use appropriate body mechanics techniques when making necessary patient transfers and helping patients with walking, dressing, etc. You must be able to lift up to 30 pounds of supplies.
