Under the direction of the Superintendent and Board of Trustees, this
confidential position provides high-level administrative, organizational, and governance support to
ensure the efficient operation of the Superintendent's Office. This position relieves the Superintendent
of administrative and clerical details, supports executive initiatives, manages the flow of information,
and upholds the positive public image of both the Superintendent and the District. The Executive
Assistant performs complex, responsible, and sensitive duties that require a high degree of autonomy,
judgment, discretion, and decision-making. The position serves as a key liaison, ensuring effective
communication between the Superintendent, Board of Trustees, staff, students, community members,
and external agencies. Responsibilities include maintaining compliance with applicable laws and
regulations (including the Brown Act), supporting collective bargaining activities, and contributing to
the District's mission of equity, inclusion, and educational excellence.

Requirements / Qualifications

Three (3) current letters of support and/or information endorsing skills, strengths and experience - one must be from an immediate supervisor.
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in business administration, public administration, education, or related field
OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum four (4) years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience,
including recent experience supporting a top-level executive or governing board.
Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and serving diverse communities.
Valid California driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Evidence of TB clearance.
Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, education, or related
field
Bilingual in Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
Experience in public education or higher education.
Experience with collective bargaining support, budget management, and public information.
Working Conditions
Office environment with frequent interruptions and high demand for accuracy under
deadlines.
Regular evening and weekend work required to support Board and community meetings.
Ability to interact with a diverse community and maintain professional relationships in all
settings.

Confidential Salary Schedule - Range 26: $43.81-53.25 plus excellent health benefits package

SEXUAL HARASSMENT: The Governing Board prohibits sexual harassment of district employees and job applicants. The Board also prohibits retaliatory behavior or action against district employees or other persons who complain, testify or otherwise participate in the complaint process established pursuant to this policy and administrative regulation.
