The Opportunity
Adept Group is seeking a Packaging Engineer (1099 Contractor) in Westborough, MA! This candidate would have 2-3 years' experience with ArtiosCAD packaging design and a focus on paper packaging. This candidate would also be familiar with ASTM/ISTA package testing and Kongsberg sample making.
This is an Onsite 1099 Contractor (Independent Contractor) opportunity for 6-12 months, with potential to renew, at 40 hours per week (8 am - 5 pm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Create CAD drawings in ArtiosCAD
- Support R&D CAD work for new projects
- Support design engineers in the day-to-day drawing and specs support
Typical Day to Day:
- CAD Engineer drawing support lead
- Working onsite at lab and some travel to suppliers and/or fulfillment centers
- Spec development
- 2-3 years of ArtiosCAD Packaging Design experience with a focus on Paper Packaging.
- Familiarity with ASTM/ISTA package testing
- Kongsberg sample making familiarity
- Ability to safely move around sheets of material, equipment etc.
- Project management experience
- Capable of adapting to changes in core focus based on evolving needs from the business
- Accountable for time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Not afraid to be relentless to get the job done
- Good communicator
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
