Open Until Filled - Supervises the child nutrition program at assigned schools ensuring compliance with the regulations established by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), Cass County Health Department, and district policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations including accurate completion of production records, inventory, temperature logs, and all other required logs and records.
Promote school meal programs by engaging students, staff, and parents, highlighting the importance of child nutrition, and encouraging increased participation in breakfast and lunch.
Provide courteous, professional support when addressing customer feedback and issues.
Provide supervision, leadership, and on-the-job training to ensure that all established policies and procedures are followed. Aid employees as needed to improve performance.
Assess the quality and quantity of food prepared and served, ensuring compliance with department standards and federal/state guidelines.
Ensure production and inventory usage match participation levels, making adjustments as needed.
Assist managers with ordering, inventory, production records, and required reports, ensuring understanding of their operational impact.
Train managers and staff on technology including computer software, point of sale systems, and proper recordkeeping.
Conduct routine school visits to assess compliance, review records, and provide guidance or training as needed.
Ensure safe operation, proper use, and maintenance of food service equipment. Provide training, recommend repairs or replacements, and oversee adherence to repair procedures. Advise on equipment purchase, use, and upkeep.
Support menu and recipe development for schools through sampling and involvement in student focus groups.
Assist with the development and modifications of standard operating procedures for employees, managers, HACCP, and point of sale software.
Assist in the selection, training, and evaluation of Food Service personnel. Conduct employee evaluations as assigned.
Assist with daily staffing and identifying substitutes as needed throughout the school year.
Ensure workplace safety in all kitchens, including appropriate and timely use and follow-up of accident reports.
- Salary schedule placement on Grade K of the Administrative Salary Schedule.

Raymore-Peculiar School District is seeking a committed Program Manager-Child Nutrition. The Program Manager is responsible the efficiency of food production, production records, food and employee safety and sanitation, employee development, coaching and training, technology implementation, staffing and substitute calling, consistent application of personnel practices and relations, compliance with all applicable regulations, and general supervision in the areas assigned through the subordinate organization consisting of Managers, Department Heads, Child Nutrition Full Time/Part Time Cooks, and Floaters.
