About this Role:R.R. Cassidy, Inc. is seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic/Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations in the shop, transporting materials or equipment using a CDL vehicle, and ensuring the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the work environment. The ideal candidate is versatile, mechanically inclined, and committed to safety and reliability.
What You'll Do:Operate CDL vehicles (Class A or B, based on needs) to transport equipment, tools, or materials to job sites or vendors.
Ensure safe loading, transport, and unloading of cargo.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Maintain accurate driving logs and comply with all DOT regulations.
Schedule vehicle maintenance and report any issues immediately.
Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.
Perform general maintenance and cleaning of shop, tools, and equipment.
Organize inventory, parts, and supplies.
Support mechanics or technicians as needed with repairs or equipment setup.
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.
Help prepare job site loads and ensure all items are properly secured.
Valid CDL (Class A or B) and clean driving record.
Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or industrial setting preferred.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
