About this Role:

R.R. Cassidy, Inc. is seeking a skilled Shop Mechanic/Driver to join our team. This position is responsible for assisting with day-to-day operations in the shop, transporting materials or equipment using a CDL vehicle, and ensuring the overall efficiency and cleanliness of the work environment. The ideal candidate is versatile, mechanically inclined, and committed to safety and reliability.

What You'll Do:
  • Operate CDL vehicles (Class A or B, based on needs) to transport equipment, tools, or materials to job sites or vendors.

  • Ensure safe loading, transport, and unloading of cargo.

  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

  • Maintain accurate driving logs and comply with all DOT regulations.

  • Schedule vehicle maintenance and report any issues immediately.

  • Assist with loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Perform general maintenance and cleaning of shop, tools, and equipment.

  • Organize inventory, parts, and supplies.

  • Support mechanics or technicians as needed with repairs or equipment setup.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, hazard-free work area.

  • Help prepare job site loads and ensure all items are properly secured.

What You'll Bring:
  • Valid CDL (Class A or B) and clean driving record.

  • Previous experience in a shop, warehouse, or industrial setting preferred.

  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Basic mechanical aptitude or willingness to learn.

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and dependable.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
