The Business Analyst is a pivotal role within the client’s organization, acting as a bridge between business needs and technological solutions. This position is responsible for the collection and definition of requirements, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver effective solutions. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to drive successful project outcomes. 


The Business Analyst (Junior) provides technical and administrative direction for personnel performing software development tasks; this includes the review of work products for correctness, adherence to the design concept and to user standards, and for progress in accordance with schedules. The Junior Business Analyst position is responsible for performing the following tasks: 


A. Coordinating with the Program Manager to ensure problem solutions and user satisfaction; 

B. Making recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations; 

C. Preparing milestone status reports and deliveries/presentations on the system concept to colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives; and 

D. Providing daily supervision and direction to support staff. 

Requirements

Education: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related scientific or technical discipline; or four (4) years of equivalent experience in a related field. (Note: A Master’s degree is preferred.) 


General Experience: The candidate must have at least four (4) years of computer experience working independently or under general direction on complex application problems involving all phases of systems analysis. 


Specialized Experience: Candidates must have at least two (2) years experience in analysis and design of business applications for complex large-scale or mid-tier computer systems, or LAN-based systems, to include experience in Database Management Systems (DBMS), and use of programming languages. This individual must have knowledge of current storage and retrieval methods and demonstrated ability to formulate specifications for computer programmers to use in coding, testing, and debugging of computer programs.
