Job Overview: The Multimedia Producer supports the video, motion graphics and photography needs of the Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community’s (SMSC) Tribal Operations enterprises and internal departments. Reporting to the Manager of Creative Services, the Multimedia Producer is responsible for creating engaging, elegant, customer-focused visual experiences and collaborating with a team of passionate designers, authors, marketers, project managers, and clients. This position is expected to contribute to video production, live streaming, staged and candid photography, audio recording, motion graphics and other elements of digital production. This position may lead small- to large-sized projects, such as video content for digital displays and online channels. The Multimedia Producer draws from existing guidelines and standards, but also drives innovation, gaining appropriate input and feedback to deliver the final product that exceeds the client’s expectations. The position works with the Integrated Media Team to create engaging content for web and social media needs. Working with the Communications Team, the Multimedia Producer delivers various media projects for SMSC Community Members and Team Members. Qualified individuals will lead pre-production, production and post-production for video projects and photo shoots.
Create Your Path: The Work You'll Do:
- Produce and edit video projects for the SMSC’s government, enterprises, and internal departments, with full responsibility for video creation including research, location, setup, shooting, editing, and review.
- Manage in-studio and onsite event photo shoots from concept to execution and work with clients to articulate the style and direction necessary for photos intended for use in print and/or digital projects.
- Produce digital media design including animation, motion graphics, and digital displays.
- Provide onsite event support through livestream production.
- Other duties as assigned including assist in support of SMSC enterprise-wide events.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in broadcast, video production, graphic design or related field (two-year degree acceptable with two or more years of professional experience; seven or more years of experience in mid- to large-sized company acceptable in place of degree).
- Creative portfolio showcasing photography, videography, and motion graphics.
- Strong photography skills with DSLR and HD video shoots (lighting, composition, posing, capturing).
- Proficiency with Mac OS and Adobe CC Suite with an emphasis on Premiere, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (TEAMS, Outlook, Word, Excel), Asana, Robohead, or other project management applications.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and collegially with staff of all levels and from a variety of backgrounds and cultures.
- Current Drone certification is a plus.
- Valid Class D driver’s license may be required with a good driving record and reliable transportation.
