We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold aircraft.
This role is onsite in Ft Worth at Bell’s Repair and Overhaul Center.
Quality Front Line Leader, Repair and Overhaul Center
Will also be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.
What you’ll be doing as a Repair and Overhaul Front Line Leader Quality:
· Execution of manufacturing and inspection compliance to Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs).
· Managing inspections and processes for various Bell commercial assets in accordance with the applicable repair manuals.
· Execute the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure adherence to AS9100 and AS9110 standards.
· Adherence to supplemental technical publications relative to each specific platform and part.
· Facilitating or coordinating Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, to include Process Quality Deficiency Report (PQDR) investigations, Loss Damaged Destroyed (LDD) reports, Quality Data Analysis (QDA), and performing Centralized Audit Surveillance System (CASS) audits.
· Developing and administering standard technical training across multiple job classifications to reduce variation in inspection techniques and improve First Pass Yield (FPY) through inspection processes.
· Facilitate the Corrective Action Board (CAB) process, to include bi-weekly CAB 0 meetings to discuss point of defect creation and corrective action.
· Participate in monthly CAB 1 and CAB 2 meetings with facility leadership and Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) personnel.
· Manage union covered Quality personnel in accordance with the local Collective Bargaining Agreement and Bell policies and procedures.
· Responsible for the handling of Government Furnished Property (GFP) and Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) in accordance with the prescribed regulations and procedures.
Skills You Bring To this Role:
· Quality Audit experience and AS9100 knowledge
· Experience managing a unionized workforce is strongly desired.
· Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma required.
· Experience utilizing Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), such as SAP (IMRO and/or CAMS).
· Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, attention to detail, and data-driven decision-making with a strong sense of urgency.
· Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
What you Need to Be Successful:
· Bachelor’s degree required OR at least 5 years of work experience in Quality Assurance and leadership in manufacturing may be considered equivalent to bachelors degree.
· A minimum of five years directly related Quality experience or a leadership role in manufacturing
· Experience in aviation composite and/or drive systems/ transmission assemblies, to include evaluation and repair techniques.
· Proficiency in navigating and comprehending technical publications such as Integrated Electronic Technical Manuals (IETMs) and other general NAVAIR manuals.
· Ability to work multiple shifts as needed
· Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
