We're looking for someone to join our team as a Temporary HR Manger who:
The HR Manager is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations, staff management, complaint resolution, and improving the employee experience. The HR Manager responds to complex employee-related matters and identifies solutions that align with Clinica Sierra Vista’s policy and culture. Works proactively and consultatively, educating employees, supervisors, and other department leaders at each touch point, enabling them to make decisions that provide a fair and consistent employment experience throughout the organization.
Essential Functions:
- Conduct thorough, fair, and timely investigations into employee complaints, workplace conflicts, and policy violations.
- Oversee, review, and advise on employee complaints and disciplinary processes.
- Trains and oversees the work of assigned staff
- Responsible for overseeing OSHA compliance and processes.
- Partners with management to handle & provide guidance on performance counseling, attendance counseling, policy violation, and conduct-related cases, including disciplinary recommendations and associated documentation.
- Uses surveys, interviews, and other studies to conduct research regarding human resource policies, compensation, and other employment issues. After analyzing the information, make recommendations on changes.
- Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment.
- Coordinates safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
- Proactively tracks and analyzes data to identify employment trends and patterns that will assist leadership with creating and maintaining a unique and compelling culture.
- Develop action plans and recommend interventions to address issues, where appropriate effectively.
- Conducts focus groups, climate assessment, etc., in support of the action plan.
- Provides proactive solutions to reduce turnover percentage as measured by the company.
- Represents CSV in all administrative hearings, including unemployment insurance hearings and appeals.
- Communicate with management, personnel, and outside organizations to exchange information, coordinate activities and programs, and resolve issues or concerns.
- Responsible for ensuring that unemployment insurance claims are processed timely. Compiles information for quarterly unemployment insurance billing for Accounts Payable.
- Assists the Associate Director, HR and/or Chief of Human Resources in implementing and coordinating special projects as assigned.
- Assists the Chief of Human Resources and Associate Director, HR in conducting employee meetings, as needed, ensuring that proper documentation is created regarding meetings and is maintained in the appropriate files.
- Design and deliver training programs on key HR topics, including respectful workplace, performance management, and personnel policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field or the equivalent combination of experience and education is required.
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years focused on employee relations preferred.
- Strong initiative and solid judgment abilities/skills; must display a balanced, objective approach and sound judgment when recommending a course of action or handling an investigation.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of human resources-related information at all times.
- Ability to work independently and with a sense of urgency.
- Ability to provide an independent point of view on people and issues while having the courage and sensitivity to deliver tough messages to leaders and employees.
- Demonstrated effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Have excellent interpersonal communication skills.
