Overview

Apiphani, Inc. is seeking an accomplished Technical SAP Delivery Lead to oversee managed services engagements supporting the technical management of large and complex SAP estates. This individual will be a key member of Apiphani’s delivery leadership team, ensuring operational excellence and maintaining trusted advisory relationships with regulated clients operating in high-compliance industries.

The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise in SAP technology management with polished communication skills, strategic business insight, and a proven record of managing client-facing managed services engagements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical delivery and service management of SAP managed services engagements across multiple client environments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive and technical stakeholders within regulated client organizations.
  • Oversee teams providing SAP Basis, system monitoring, cloud hosting, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead and manage a rapidly expanding team of technical managers and frontline engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Work closely with the product development team to enhance and deploy proprietary solutions that improve both delivery efficiency and client experience.
  • Translate complex technical situations into clear business and operational narratives for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure SLAs, compliance requirements, and service quality indicators are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Drive ongoing service improvement initiatives, focusing on proactive issue prevention and innovation in managed support models.
  • Collaborate with Apiphani’s solution architects and leadership to scale delivery capacity and efficiency across engagements.
  • Mentor technical staff and promote cross-team knowledge sharing and professional development.
  • Contribute to proposals, account plans, and governance forums as a trusted advisor on SAP technical strategy.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP technical delivery and managed services leadership.
  • Hands-on background with legacy SAP technology stacks (On-premise S/4HANA, ECC, BW, Solution Manager, etc.), Cloud ERP engagements and technologies (PCE S/4HANA, BTP, Cloud ALM, etc.) and managed cloud operations (AWS, GCP, Azure, or private cloud).
  • Demonstrated success managing multi-year managed service engagements for enterprise-scale SAP estates.
  • Expertise in service governance, incident management, and technical operations in regulated industries (e.g., A&D, Life Sciences, Energy, Finance).
  • Applied knowledge of ITIL best practices and experience working with major ITSM platforms such as ServiceNow.
  • Strong client relationship management and executive communication skills.
  • Business acumen to balance delivery obligations with account growth and retention objectives.
  • S. citizenship and current U.S. residence required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with automation, observability, or AI-driven monitoring in SAP landscapes.
  • Familiarity with Basel III, NERC SIP, ITAR, or other regulatory compliance frameworks.
  • PMP, ITIL, or SAP certifications in relevant technical domains.
  • Prior experience in a consulting or managed services provider environment.

Base Salary
$210,000$250,000 USD
