Job Summary-

SAP BASIS Manager will be responsible for managing SAP BASIS operations, ensuring optimal performance. This includes SAP BASIS administration, planning, coordination, and implementation of all changes in SAP, including performance and tuning analysis, architecture design, capacity planning, systems support and planning, application support, and software upgrades. Oversee work of onshore/offshore staff to ensure quality results.

Essential Functions-

• SAP BASIS Manager will be responsible for managing the SAP Basis team in operations, ensuring optimal performance
• Oversee SAP Basis administration and technical core competencies for tasks including, but not limited to: installations and upgrades, problem determination and resolution, software patching, support package application, performance tuning, and sizing/capacity planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement SAP solutions that enhance business processes and efficiencies.
• Administer SAP implementations and upgrades in multiple environments, including SAP ECC, BI, PI/PO, Fiori, GRC, Redwood, deployed on SAP HANA and Sybase ASE. Provide guidance and oversee work of onshore/offshore staff to ensure quality results.
• Work closely with SAP COE Teams to coordinate and ensure complete enhancements to company’s enterprise-wide SAP implementation.
• Develop SAP BASIS related Standard Operating Procedure, document design and landscape of all SAP environments.
• Prepare and present status reports, and technical analysis of relevant issues. Coordinates activities and interactions with auditing team to ensure procedure integrity and security.
• Considered a subject matter expert in their technical discipline and be able to provide analytical skills to evaluate system performance, system health checks, and implementation of tuning improvements.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture recommendations, and participation in technical projects across multiple teams.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities- 

• Deep knowledge and skills of SAP BASIS administration.
• Experience in managing SAP landscape in virtualized environment (mixed OS platforms and databases).
• Strong understanding of SAP architecture and database management.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
• Excellent verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills.

Education and Experience-

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent discipline.

Preferred: Master’s degree in a Management/Technical discipline. SAP Certification in HANA is highly desirable.

Minimum of 15 years of experience in SAP BASIS, with 5 years of managing SAP BASIS onshore/offshore team

Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP HANA.

Experience in the full-life cycle of large and complex enterprise services. 

Preferred: Certification in SAP BASIS Administrator and/or SAP HANA.
