Job Purpose

The District Manager of Operations oversees the management of all assigned branches within a specific region to ensure equipment rental services are executed in the most cost-effective manner with the highest quality of standards. Responsible for establishing and maintaining operations, organizations, and processes that support the strategic objectives of customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction, and asset management including profitability.  Lead sales, operations and fleet management for the district that is comprised of: Red Deer, Calgary, High River, Saskatoon, Regina and Winnipeg. 

What you will do...

  • Profit and loss (P&L) responsibilities for all branches in respective zone
  • Employee engagement that results in positive relationship and employee satisfaction
  • Build and develop talent of team including performance management, training, delegation, and accountability
  • Lead sales to grow customer base and market share
  • Establish relationships with customers that leads to high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Fleet management including identifying needs, high levels of utilization, and protection of assets
  • Problem solving for both strategic and tactical issues
  • Maintain and improve competitive position by analysis of market and knowledge of competitors
  • Ensure cost effectiveness of all operations while maintaining high quality standards using process improvement tools

Conditions of Employment

  • Experience in the Equipment Rental Industry.
  • Previous General Manager experience managing multiple segments of the business as well as directly handling P&L responsibilities. 
  • Previous Outside Sales Management experience in the constrution field.
  • Valid driver’s license
  • A recent driver’s abstract will be required

Pay Range: $170-195/year plus profit share
