Position Summary:  

As a Clamp Truck Operator at BWT Logistics, you will play a vital role in our warehouse operations by safely and efficiently handling large, cylindrical materials—such as industrial-sized paper rolls—using specialized clamp trucks. This position demands precision, situational awareness, and a strong commitment to safety to ensure materials are moved and stored without damage. In addition to operating the clamp truck, you may assist with general material handling tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate clamp trucks to move, load, unload, and stack large, delicate materials (e.g., paper rolls)
• Apply proper clamp pressure and positioning to prevent product damage
• Navigate safely in tight or high-traffic areas while maintaining full control of equipment
• Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and report any mechanical or safety issues
• Assist with off-lift tasks such as staging, labeling, and repositioning products
• Handle all materials with care to maintain product integrity
• Verify and document material condition, quantity, and placement
• Secure and stage materials in trailers or designated warehouse zones
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with BWT standards
• Follow inventory movement procedures and assist with record updates
• Collaborate with team members to meet productivity and shipping goals
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations
• Work overtime and occasional Saturdays based on operational needs

Schedule

• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday  7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Overtime: As needed during the week; occasional Saturdays based on workload

Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour
• Benefits: Available after 90 days, including health, dental, vision, and ancillary coverage

PPE Requirements

• Steel-toe or composite-toe boots required
• Safety vest and additional PPE provided by BWT
