Assistant Director of Wellness Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, schedule, and coach nursing and care staff to ensure consistent, high-quality service.
  • Provide orientation, training, and ongoing development for the team members in wellness and dementia care best practices.
  • Serve as Charge Nurse as needed and oversee medication management according to state regulations.
  • Partner with Wellness Director in staffing, budgeting, and departmental quality improvement.
  • Support Memory Care operations in engagement efforts, care planning, and staff performance.
  • Collaborate with families to maintain life journals and ensure proactive communication and resident needs.
  • Host educational sessions and family support programs related to caregiving.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with residents and families.
  • Respond promptly and compassionately to residents' or family concerns.
  • Partner with the Sales Director on tours, move-ins, and transition follow-ups to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
  • Ensure accurate documentation, compliance, and quality service delivery.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable workplace culture.
  • Lead by example by demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and a commitment to excellence every day.

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN or LVN) in good standing.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in senior living, skilled nursing, or home health with leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to train, mentor, and inspire staff.
  • A true passion for working with older adults and enhancing their quality of life.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
