Senior Cost Accounting Manager na JBSS Inc.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and strategic Senior Cost Accounting Manager to join our team. This role is key to monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on cost structures and variances related to materials, labor, and overhead. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring accurate standard costs, supporting inventory analysis, and driving cost efficiency across operations.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Gathers and analyzes information relating to materials, labor, overhead spending, and related variances utilizing QAD and Microsoft applications.

·       Evaluates and authorizes cost structures and line routings for new and existing items.

·       Assists in the periodic closing process by reviewing and completing Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations.

·       Ensure standard costs are accurate and updated as necessary.

·       Generates monthly operations summaries and analyzes performance and budget discrepancies to improve cost management and efficiency, providing recommendations as needed.

·       Oversees the monthly analysis of inventory-related accounts, ensuring all necessary entries are recorded within the designated closing period. Evaluates variances and related inventory suspense accounts to assess the appropriateness.

·       Frequently interacts with the Inventory Control function.

·       Monitors actual costs vs. standard costs.

·       Leads team of Cost Accountants and Analysts

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Strong Excel and reporting skills.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.
