Summary:   The Operations Administrative Assistant provides administrative, project and office support primarily to the Caster Operations Manager. This role also provides administrative support to the Maintenance Manager and team members as needed.

                               

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Communicate directly with Managers, Team Leaders, team members and other departments to provide a bridge for smooth communication between all
  • Managing department vacation schedules
  • Weekly shift schedules
  • Manage and maintain department intranet page
  • SAO (Standards Administration Officer) for specific area for ISO Document Control
  • Perform a wide variety of administrative duties such as: coordinate meetings including lunches
  • Proactively anticipate managers/team leaders needs and ensures they are well prepared to lead
  • Create and process expense reports accurately and timely
  • Participate and occasionally lead continuous improvement projects to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and accuracy of processes and information flow throughout the company.
  • Provide Human Resources administrative support with multiple tasks including reporting, organizing communication, and training sessions, etc.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in business, communications/related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication and composition skills with ability to interact at all organizational levels
  • Willing to spend time on the plant floor interacting with team members and team leads
  • Demonstrated computer software skills-especially with Microsoft office suite
  • Possess high level of independent decision making and professional judgement
  • Forward looking thinker, who proactively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Capability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make good decisions independently, plan and carry out assignments with minimal guidance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant
  • Experience with Sharepoint
  • Advanced Excel Experience
  • Ability to track Operation Metric
  • Managing department consumables and inventory

Quantitative Scope:

  • No budget responsibility or direct supervision
