Job Description

About Kendra Scott

We are a fashion-lifestyle brand of big dreams, colorful confidence, and inspired design. Founded on Family, Fashion and Philanthropy, we believe that our employees and customers are the heart and soul of our brand, and that giving back is the truest form of success. Fashion meets innovation in the design of our two state-of-the-art facilities based in the heart of Austin, Texas, and overflows into the design of our growing retail environment across the country.

Position Overview:

The Senior Director of Culture & Events is responsible for fostering a strong internal culture, driving employee experience, and leading signature philanthropy events and initiatives that strengthen both internal connection and external impact.

Reporting to the SVP of Philanthropy & Culture, this role integrates culture-building and philanthropy strategies to connect employees to the company’s mission while amplifying how the brand shows up in the community. This leader oversees programs that bring the company’s values to life – from internal traditions and engagement initiatives to external philanthropic events that advance the company’s corporate giving priorities and the work of the Kendra Scott Foundation.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Leadership

  • Partner with the SVP of Philanthropy & Culture to shape and execute culture, engagement, and philanthropy strategies aligned with company values and business objectives

  • Serve as a thought leader on how employee culture and philanthropic impact intersect

  • Lead and mentor a team across internal engagement and philanthropy events

  • Develop annual roadmaps that align with company growth and reinforce cultural consistency across departments

  • Manage department budget and measure ROI of all culture and philanthropy event initiatives

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Build and execute engagement initiatives (some in partnership with HR), including surveys, recognition programs, and volunteer opportunities

  • Oversee internal culture programs, traditions, and events (e.g. Family Meetings, Summit, onboarding) that inspire connection and belonging

  • Have knowledge of systems and tools that support employee engagement and recognition

  • Partner with HR to help uphold an empowered, values-driven, and inspiring workplace

  • Work with Facilities team to ensure physical spaces reflect the company’s culture and foster creativity and collaboration

  • Reimagine internal communication methods (e.g. The Scoop) to deliver timely, visually appealing, and easily digestible content that fosters transparency and connection with minimal lift

Philanthropy Events

  • Lead the planning and execution of high-impact philanthropy events for both corporate initiatives and the Kendra Scott Foundation

  • Develop and manage event strategies that advance philanthropic goals and strengthen brand impact

  • Oversee the full lifecycle of event strategy — from concept and creative direction to logistics, storytelling, and post-event outcomes to ensure community impact and brand value

  • Ensure consistent brand representation and mission alignment across all philanthropy activations, both internal and external

Collaboration & Integration

  • Act as a bridge between HR and Philanthropy teams to align culture and philanthropy messaging

  • Work cross-functionally with Retail and Marketing to amplify storytelling around local philanthropic moments

  • Provide insights to leadership on employee sentiment and philanthropic engagement trends

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in event planning, corporate giving, or employee engagement leadership

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives that drive employee connection and community impact

  • Empathetic, creative leader who thrives on cultivating connection and inspiring purpose-driven culture

  • Experience managing multiple projects, including management of staff, vendors, and budgets

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills (presentation, facilitation, and written)

  • Capacity to thrive in a high-growth, fast-paced organization as a leader of people and eager collaborator

  • A growth mindset: desire to learn, grow and embrace new ideas

  • A shared appreciation for our 3 core values of Family, Fashion and Philanthropy
