Job Description:

As Enterprise Architect at ib vogt, you will be responsible for designing and governing the company’s global IT and digitalization architecture. You will ensure that systems, applications, and data are seamlessly integrated and aligned with the company’s business strategy across Project Development, EPC, O&M, and Corporate Functions. Reporting directly to the Head of IT & Digitalization, you will act as the link between business and technology, ensuring scalability, cost-efficiency, and innovation in IB Vogt’s digital landscape.

 

  • Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture roadmap, aligned with business strategy and IT/digitalization goals
  • Define standards, principles, and guidelines for system integration, application development, and data management
  • Establish and manage an Architecture Board with stakeholders from IT and business
  • Oversee the IT system landscape (ERP, HR, Finance, SCADA, CMMS, …)
  • Define integration strategies for end-to-end process flows (Project Development → Finance → EPC → O&M)
  • Evaluate new technologies and solutions (cloud-native, AI, RPA, digital twin)
  • Establish enterprise-wide data models, master data management, and reporting standards
  • Enable data-driven decision-making by designing architecture for BI, analytics, and predictive models
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies (in alignment with ISO)
  • Partner with business units to translate business requirements into scalable IT solutions
  • Support all Business Unit (BU) teams with digital tools for project execution, asset management, and predictive maintenance
  • Collaborate closely with Information Security Officer to ensure security-by-design principles
  • Guide hybrid / cloud transformation - identify the sweet spot for our business
  • Drive process digitalization with automation tools (RPA, workflow engines, low-code platforms)
  • Act as a technology scout, identifying trends (AI, digital twin, blockchain, IoT, AR/VR)
Qualifications:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution design, or IT strategy
  • Strong knowledge of ERP (Dynamics BC), SCADA, and cloud platforms
  • Experience with integration frameworks (API management, ESB, iPaaS)
  • Solid understanding of data architecture, BI/analytics platforms (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with EA frameworks (TOGAF, Zachman, ArchiMate)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure Solutions Architect, or AWS Architect are a plus
  • Fluency in English; German language skills advantageous
