We have a Life Science Project Engineer Opportunity in Philadelphia, PA for a 6 month contract. The ideal candidate will have experience with executing infrastructure capital projects in GMP and non-GMP environments, with a solid understanding of lab office and utility construction.

    The Job 

    WM is seeking an experienced Life Science Project Engineer for Philadelphia PA area. The ideal candidate will have experience with executing infrastructure capital projects in GMP and non-GMP environments, with a solid understanding of lab office and utility construction.   

    THE PROJECT DAY-TO-DAY

    • Manages small to large scale projects for clients independently with minimal oversight
    • May be responsible for managing and supporting multiple projects at once
    • Develops, manages, and controls project costs
    • Develops, manages, and controls project schedule
    • Manages and directs resources appropriately for the project
    • Manages the end-to-end project lifecycle for assigned projects
    • Guides the client in project decisions, ensuring the best solution for their business
    • Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team to deliver on goals and objectives of the project
    • Manages vendor and client relations to ensure that service expectations are developed and met
    • Maintains regular contact with client and reports on project progress, issues, and accomplishments to both the client & Wunderlich-Malec
    • Accountable for project and/or program success
    • Responsible for representing the client as an OPM, managing third parties as a client representative

    WHAT WE NEED

    • Bachelor’s degree (preferably Engineering, Construction Management or related field)
    • Servant leader, who loves to see others succeed and is energized being part of a team
    • Exemplary communication skills
    • 5-10 years in an engineering role supporting projects
    • Experience in life sciences (GMP & GLP environment) required

    Position Demands

    • Seeing, color perception, hearing, listening, clear speech, dexterity in hands, driving, ability to travel distances
    • Travel – minimum 25% unless located nearby
      • Expectation is to be onsite during project execution 100%
    • Standard office environment: frequent use of personal computer, facsimile and copy machines, along with miscellaneous office equipment
