Job Summary: The custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of Sunny Delight offices, common areas, and production floor as needed. Duties: Cleaning of all common areas, restrooms, entrances, furniture, fixtures, stairs, chairs, tables, telephones, etc. This person will be responsible for, but not limited to:
- General cleaning for office and Manufacturing areas: offices, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, locker rooms, windows, etc.
- Disinfect all high-touch points (i.e. vending machine buttons, microwave, refrigerator handles, doorknobs, light switches, sink faucets, water fountains, elevator buttons or restroom surfaces).
- Operates various types of equipment and machinery, which include wet vacuums, hand trucks, vacuum cleaners, carpet extractors, floor buffers, automatic scrubbers, etc.
- Emptying trash and recycling containers.
- Able to read, understand and communicate chemical application instructions, particularly those involving dilution rates and disinfectant dwell times. Wears PPE as appropriate.
- Sweeping, mopping and/or vacuuming of hard-surface and carpeted floor covering.
- Maintaining cleanliness of eating areas.
- May occasionally assist Facility Maintenance Team with minor maintenance activities.
- Ensuring work environment is safe and free of clutter.
- Support facilities laborer as needed
- Maintain hard copy document/checklist for completed cleaning duties to be submitted for food safety compliance.
- Other task as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Stand on hard surfaces such as concrete for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift
- Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds
- Climb stairs, ladders, platforms, and other structures on equipment or buildings to inspect, operate, maintain, or troubleshoot
- Bend at the knees, twist the back, and kneel as needed to access equipment for operation, maintenance, or troubleshooting
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying seasonal temperatures and humidity levels
- Function effectively in areas of high noise while using proper personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work outside to monitor and clean the perimeter of the building/empty outside trash cans (within all seasonal temperatures of the year).
Flexible Schedule: - Potential to start the shift earlier during unannounced SQF audit window as well as scheduled visits from corporate personnel.
- Potential for weekend overtime assignments based on cleaning priorities throughout the year.
Shift: 6:30am-3:00pm Monday-Friday, may be scheduled to work weekend overtime. |
