Job Purpose:
The Production Manager will lead production teams in the manufacturing of high-quality digital photo media products on a 24/7 operating schedule. The Production Manager will be accountable to achieve established objectives and targets in safety, quality, productivity, and cost. The ideal candidate will have experience with high-speed film or paper coating/laminating/converting operations in a multi shift operation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute department level management under the guidance of the Senior Operations Manager.
- Ensure equipment is operated and maintained to safety and productivity standards.
- Ensure quality standards are achieved, maintained, monitored, and documented.
- Track, analyze, and report performance to safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
- Identify, Manage, and implement projects and improvement plans for safety, quality, performance, and cost.
- Coordinate, direct, develop, train, motivate and evaluate production leadership and staff.
- Develop and implement robust training for quality and safety.
- Develop and implement improvement plans for efficiency, quality, safety, and cost.
- Ensures accurate process, production, and inventory data are captured, monitored, and maintained.
- Provides insight and information to management on the progress of production activities, including follow up from complaints/corrective actions.
- Communicate and work with other departments throughout the facility.
- Additional duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications:
- B.S. Degree in a technical field required, (Engineering, Science, Technology)
- 5 or more years of experience in manufacturing management.
- Management experience must be from a manufacturing environment.
- Experience using an ERP system for tracking production.
- Must have effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Microsoft Office skills and experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining Standard Operating Procedures in an ISO9001/14001 Quality/Environmental Management System.
- Prior experience in film/paper coating, laminating, converting, or chemical processing.
- Experience with IIoT connected/monitored production equipment.
- Experience with maintenance
- Demonstrated ability to lead change and motivate people.
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours
- The ability to use arms/hands/fingers to feel and reach
- Be able to bend/stoop/kneel as needed
- Must be able to hear and talk to communicate with customers
- Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member
- Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
- Must be able to use, handle, and manipulate items and materials, including hazardous materials, with proper material handling equipment/tools.
- Must complete 24/40-hour HazWoper Training and be medically qualified to wear respiratory protection.

Safety Requirements
- Physically able to pass spirometry exam for test fitting of respiratory equipment.
- Ability to wear required PPE (including safety glasses, gloves (nitrile, canvas, etc.), hearing protection, ANSI-approved footwear, and others as required.) in any manufacturing area.
- Ability to wear required PPE if in any manufacturing area.
