PositionSummary
 
The Patient ServicesRepresentative (PSR) is responsible for scheduling patient appointments forboth established patients, and when appropriate, new patients.  Such appointments may be by telephone orin-house.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities

•Schedules patient appointments in a professional, businesslike and courteous manner in accordance with the Clinic and physician policies and procedures.

•Maintains and coordinates the physicians’ schedules, having a thorough knowledge of physician specialties and medical practices.

•Answers telephones and returns calls in a timely manner, taking messages, handling requests and providing accurate information as necessary.

•Handles mail, paperwork via fax, and medical records, assuring accuracy and completeness.

•Screens patients and visitors as needed.

•Assures patients are processed in a timely, courteous, and helpful manner.

•Collects patient fees as needed.

•Performs other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

 Education (Including Licenses and Certifications): Highschool diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months relatedexperience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education andexperience.


 Experience:  One to two year experience in amedical office setting is preferred. Prior in a   medical office as Medical Receptionist or PSR preferred.
