What is this role?
As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at Cirkul, you will be responsible for the manufacturing execution systems for equipment including, but not limited to: centerlines, Clean-Inspect-Lubricate(CIL), Defect Elimination, Breakdown Elimination, Workplace Organization(WPO)/5S, etc. You will work closely with engineering teams, production staff, and maintenance personnel to improve production workflows, troubleshoot equipment, and implement process improvements. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with the ability to solve complex manufacturing challenges to support the continued success of our operations.
What does an average day look like?
Driving Results: Support, troubleshoot and optimize automated production equipment to minimize downtime.
Taking Ownership: Provide technical support and training to production teams to ensure smooth daily operations. Fabricate and modify mechanical components and fixtures as needed (light machining, welding, prototyping).
Making Decisions: Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance process reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Cultivating Relationships: Collaborate with engineers and operators to identify root causes of issues and implement solutions.
Instilling Trust: Assist in installation, commissioning, and modification of automation systems, machinery, and support equipment. Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, upgrades, and equipment changes.
Customer Focus: Contribute to efforts that help the company meet customer expectations related to product quality, production timelines, and consistency.
What background should you have?
- 5 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience with various manufacturing equipment including packaging systems, filling systems, assembly systems, continuous motion systems, etc.
- Experience with execution manufacturing excellence systems including Centerline, CIL, Defect Elimination, etc.
- Experience with developing and execution training for operators and maintenance.
- Willing to work hard, stay until the job is complete, and demonstrate resilience.
- Have a positive attitude, willing to work multiple levels of employees, and thrive in a fast paced environment.
