JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Maintenance Aide             

Reports To: B&A Manager & Supervisors

Department: Buildings & Areas

Classification: FT /Year Round                 

FLSA Status: Non Exempt

Functions of the Role

• Stocks and cleans on-mountain restrooms when necessary.
• Performs building maintenance under manager supervision including HVAC and appliance repair.
• Keeps supervisor informed of arising problems.
• Takes initiative in finding and solving everyday maintenance issues.
• Removes snow and ice from assigned areas.
• Removes and properly disposes of garbage.
• Operates heavy equipment when needed, forklifts, ATV’s, snowmobiles driver’s license required
• Maintains exterior cleanliness of assigned buildings including sweeping, air cleaning and power washing
• Properly prepares surfaces prior to painting and does start to finish job of paints given substrates. Including but not limited to sanding (power and by hand), scraping, choosing the correct paint, and proper clean-up of work area.
• Maintains tool room inventory. Sharpening/cleaning tools when necessary.
• Assist in upkeep and inventories of lightbulb, paint, other similar stocked items. 
  • Changes light bulbs and ballasts
  • Performs plumbing repairs using mechanical and electric snakes and minor plumbing part replacement
• Assist Groundskeepers in early morning rounds and with subsequent rounds on heavy snow days.

• Must be able to recognize projects that need attention.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong skier or snowboarder.
• Skill with most power and hand tools.
• High School Diploma.
• Applicable work experience given high consideration.
• Basic knowledge of Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, and Electrical systems valuable.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

• Work in extreme weather conditions.
• Ability to lift at least 75 pounds.
• Physically fit.
