Description
- Apply and verify torque programs using Atlas Copco tools, including handheld and automated systems (e.g., Power Focus, PowerMacs, ToolsNet).
- Interpret engineering drawings, torque charts, and OEM specifications.
- Conduct torque audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal and customer standards.
- Maintain and calibrate torque tools, including transducer-based systems, click wrenches, and digital torque tools.
- Monitor and maintain SPC (Statistical Process Control) data related to torque applications and fastener integrity.
- Document torque applications and results using digital tracking systems and quality records.
- Collaborate with engineering and production to resolve torque-related issues.
- Train operators and technicians on proper torque procedures and Atlas Copco tool usage.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for torque-related non-conformances.
- Ensure traceability and compliance with ISO/TS standards and customer requirements.

- Know and understand the group's environmental objectives.
- Know and understand the group's policy and principals in terms of MA management.
- Know and understand the most significant environmental aspects of the work center.
Requirements
- High school diploma or technical certification required; associate degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in torque application, mechanical assembly, or quality inspection.
- Hands-on experience with Atlas Copco torque tools and software (e.g., Power Focus, ToolsNet).
- Strong understanding of torque-to-yield fasteners, dry vs. lubricated torque, and bolt patterns.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Familiarity with torque auditing and digital traceability systems.
- Experience in maintaining and analyzing SPC data for torque-related processes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Knowledge of VDA 6.3 process audit methodology and its application in torque-critical processes.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or similar quality standards.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.
