Nationwide Loan Consultants & Advisors is currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist/Team Leader to join our staff and support our growing organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong desire to continue building on a career in Human Resources, Recruiting, and Talent Acquisition. The Human Resource Generalist is an entry level position and reports directly to the Human Resources Manager

Required Experience:

One to two years of work experience in Human Resources is preferred. Only candidates with the required experience or a strong equivalent combination of education (i.e. Associates or Bachelors degree in Human Resources, HR or Recruiting certifications ) and experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to be able to excel in the role will be considered.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; Superior organizational skills and attention to detail; solid understanding of human resource principles, practices, and procedures; Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines; Self-motivated with demonstrated ability to problem solve and think independently; Ability to function well in a fast-paced, and at times stressful environment; Ability to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism; and strong skills with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are a must for consideration.

Job Duties:

  • This individual will be responsible for basic Human Resources duties, assisting the Human Resources Manager with maintaining various employee databases and employment records.
  • Responsibilities will also include working with new hires in the pre-boarding and onboarding process.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate record of employee attendance and leaves
  • Assist the HR Manager in policy formulation, hiring and salary administration
  • Submit online job postings, shortlist candidates and schedule job interviews
  • Coordinate orientation and training sessions for new employees
  • Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries
  • Interviewing potential applicants regarding their skills, experience, and education
  • Contacting references and performing background checks on applicants
  • Informing applicants about position details, including working conditions, benefits, and duties
  • Referring qualified applicants for the employer
  • Conducting or helping with new employee orientation when needed
  • Handle employment-related inquiries from employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate supervisor contact
  • Supports Engagement Committee initiatives
