Job Description: 

The Security Supervisor oversees the Security Officers that are on his/her shift and ensures that Corporate/Departmental policies and procedures are being followed 

Job Focus:

Focus is on, but not limited to the following:

·         Oversee and direct Security Officers regarding the safety and security of guests and employees

·         Walk all areas of the hotel/casino to assist guests and Security Officers

·         Communicate with Security Officers and guests to ensure a positive guest experience

·         Interact with other departments, employees, and guests to ensure proper security issues are addressed

·         Handle administrative issues including scheduling, attendance, and training

·         Oversee and direct Security Officers regarding the safety and security of guests and employees

·         Walk all areas of the hotel/casino to assist guests and Security Officers

·         Communicate with Security Officers and guests to ensure a positive guest experience

·         Interact with other departments, employees, and guests to ensure proper security issues are addressed

·         Protect company assets by ensuring Security Officers are performing their duties

·         Review the appearance of the Security Officers as they clock in to ensure they meet the company’s appearance standards

·         Communicate with the Security Manager and Security Assistant Manager regarding the daily operations of the Security department

·         Handle administrative issues including scheduling, attendance, and training

·         Operate a two-way radio to communicate with Security Officers and the control room

 Desired Qualifications:

·         MUST have a valid Clark County Nevada Concealed Weapons permit

·         One (1) year of pervious Security Supervisor experience is required

·         Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in very high paced and stressful environment

·         Ability to deal effectively with guests, management, employees and outside contacts

·         Ability to work under pressure, maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude

·         Ability to follow directions, excellent organizational skills

·         Working knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment

·         Function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines

·         Handle a fast-paced frequently changing environment

·         A valid Nevada Gaming License and Alcohol Awareness Card are required and must be obtained before entering this position

·         Must be 21 years of age or older
