About the Department
Alamance County Government is seeking an experienced and innovative Talent Acquisition Consultant II to join our Human Resources team. This position is ideal for a skilled recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about building a diverse, engaged, and high-performing workforce.
The Talent Acquisition Consultant II will partner with County departments to develop and implement strategies for sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent. With a focus on innovation, relationship-building, and workforce planning, this role provides the opportunity to directly shape the employee experience and strengthen the County’s ability to serve the community.
Position Duties
- Recruitment Strategy & Support
- Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop recruitment strategies, and guide them through the hiring process.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment for a variety of positions, from job postings and advertising to candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection.
- Ensure job postings are clear, accurate, and appeal to a broad and diverse audience.
- Talent Sourcing & Branding
- Use innovative sourcing methods to identify and attract qualified candidates.
- Promote Alamance County Government as an employer of choice through outreach, career fairs, and branding initiatives.
- Build and maintain pipelines of candidates for hard-to-fill positions.
- Candidate & Hiring Manager Experience
- Guide managers on best practices in interviewing, selection, and equitable hiring.
- Deliver a positive, professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Provide regular communication and updates to hiring managers and applicants.
- Compliance & Process Improvement
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with federal, state, and local employment regulations as well as County policies.
- Monitor workforce and labor market trends, recommending improvements to strengthen hiring outcomes.
- Maintain accurate applicant tracking and recruitment data for reporting and analysis.
- Collaboration & Special Projects
- Serve as the NEOGOV subject matter expert and develop training to encourage optimal utilization.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business/public administration, or a related field. Three (3) years of professional experience in recruitment/talent acquisition—public sector experience preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Other Qualifications
- Knowledge of recruitment best practices, workforce planning, and talent management.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build relationships.
- Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to source candidates using innovative and diverse strategies, build and maintain candidate pipelines, and recommend improvements based on market trends.
