Mortenson is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to align HR strategies with business goals, support multiple businesses, and drive key talent and people-focused initiatives in collaboration with leadership.

Location: Minnesota- Golden Valley Headquarters (hybrid)
Travel: between 15% to 25%
RESPONSIBILITIES
Deploy core HR processes such as compensation planning, performance reviews, and other HR initiatives with assigned businesses
Coach and counsel team members and managers
Support special projects like process simplification, policy rollouts, or leading high-performing team sessions
Build strong relationships with business leaders
Navigate situations and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of the organization
Be a team player with a positive and professional attitude and strong customer service skills
Drive results in a fast-moving and constantly changing environment
Prepare and analyze HR reports, translate data into leader recommendations, and take appropriate action
Lead and manage projects independently
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of five years of Human Resources experience, including Talent Management and Compensation
Bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field preferred but not required
Proven ability to build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with business leaders
Skilled at navigating complex situations and fostering positive working relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organization
Ability to collaborate with and influence senior leaders to guide decision-making processes
Team-oriented approach with a positive, professional attitude and exceptional customer service skills
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with the capacity to prepare and interpret HR data, translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership
Willingness to travel up to 25%

The base pay range for this role is $83,700 - $125,600. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity. This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan.
