PURPOSE:

  • This role is accountable for the end-to-end performance and transformation initiatives within Logistics & Services (L&S) Products in Transported by Maersk (TbM) Operations, enabling safe, high-quality and cost-efficient execution.

  • The role provides clear direction setting to the Regional L&S Operations teams and participates in and supports proactive and action based performance management based on key operational metrics as well as Operational Excellence efforts.

  • Owns and drives conceptualization and implementation of strategic transformation. This role directs the planning and delivery of the strategic transformation agenda within the L&S TbM Operations organization.

  • Leads Cross Functional Collaboration and high impact delivery: A core responsibility of the role is to lead the operational elements in the OP (Operating Plan) process. This includes identifying the most critical enablers of change, prioritizing and scoping technology developments in close collaboration with Platform and Product teams, and ensuring a sharp focus on aligned value realization. Through a strong cross functional collaboration the role ensures that tech solutions are delivered effectively and that this can be translated into tangible business impacts. 

  • Embeds Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement: This role challenges  legacy practices in a planned and controlled way by designing scalable, future-fit solutions. Through strong collaboration with Product, Platform, Regional Operations, and Operational Excellence teams, the role helps operationalize innovation and accelerates the shift to globally consistent execution models including the increased use of off-shoring. The role is also responsible for driving operational ways of working grounded in standardized processes, Continuous Improvement (CI) and Operational Excellence

  • In close collaboration with key stakeholders this role ensures that transformational improvements are not only envisioned but also delivered /fully adopted and embedded and sustained into daily operations—anchoring them in a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and measurable outcomes. 

  • This role also supports the key Learning and Development initiatives needed to build and grow the strategic capabilities supporting the strategy of L&S TbM Operations. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Drive Performance management across global L&S TbM Operations:

  • Foster & implement a culture of Performance Management that drives performance management objectives in line with global requirements. Co-ordinator of the Productivity& Efficiency leads to provide the direction, lead without authority that shape adoption and implementation plans, that accelerate the ‘path to green’. Co-creating the right initiatives to support the productivity plans, operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

  • Stakeholder direction setting and partnership with the Regional partners to frame the RACI, Operating systems for effective collaboration and ways of working  

  • Lead the operational elements of the Operating Plan (OP) process within L&S TbM Operations, ensuring strategic initiatives are clearly defined, prioritized, and tracked for impact and execution. 

Accelerate the Transformation agenda, across global L&S TbM Operations:

  • Drive and Lead cross-functional transformation programs and projects that deliver step-change improvements in productivity, efficiency, and standardized Ways of Working across the global execution landscape. Challenge and futureproof legacy practices and processes, identify and scope key technology and process enablers in collaboration with Platform, Product, and Regional teams.

Across Global L&S TbM Operations, shape a cohesive transformation roadmap aligned with the Maersk Way.  

  • Implement a comprehensive operational excellence strategy (including continuous improvement frameworks and toolkits) for L&S within TbM Ops that supports Maersk's business objectives and drives continuous improvement, and in alignment with the Maersk way.

  • Drive capability building and learning & development, ensuring the organization is future proofed with the strategic, digital, and operational skills and capabilities needed to sustain transformation and strengthen our bench for delivery of the integrator strategy. 

  • Champion and Role model a culture of continuous improvement and ownership, helping to instil a transformation mindset across L&S TbM Operations. E.g. Problem solving, Kaizen.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Minimum of 8 years’ relevant experience in Logistics/Supply Chain/FMCG (preferably in a large multinational environment)

  • Able to work autonomously and take independent decisions under high-pressure scenarios 

  • Data driven and storytelling with data 

  • Customer empathy/centricity 

  • Change Management skills/Able to drive change management 

  • Stakeholder management skills 

  • LEAN/Similar certification is advantageous 

  • Tech/Process transformation implementation experience  

  • Communication & Influencing skills 

  • Ability to lead without authority
