Salary HEW Level 8 ($116,551 - $131,257) + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

About You
This role sits within the Student Experience team and will see you draw on your expertise in people leadership and events management to provide high-level support for the planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of student events at the College of Business and Law.
As a Senior Coordinator, you will work collaboratively with Schools, Strategy, International and Industry teams to design events that drive participation, engagement and belonging, thus enhancing the student experience. This will involve leveraging the use of technology and social media marketing campaigns to support the delivery of both strategic and operational large-scale events such as such as Open Day, special project funded events; and operational events such as Orientation and Welcome Sessions for the College. This will include developing and managing budget related to student events
You will bring a modern and forward-thinking approach to identifying new ways of working collaboratively with internal stakeholders across the University and will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will coordinate management of staff, contractors, volunteers, student interns and ambassadors as required to deliver event and experience objectives.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have as a minimum:
Demonstrated leadership experience
Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills, with the ability to work collegiately with academic and professional staff, students and external clients from diverse backgrounds.
Evidence of a high degree of emotional intelligence with proven well-developed leadership and team-building skills and experience coaching and aligning teams to achieve high performance outcomes.
Extensive experience in developing and executing successful major events, spanning both physical and virtual platforms.
Proven initiative and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently to quickly extract priority issues and take action without specific direction.
Demonstrated ability to project manage high quality and high value initiatives within budget parameters, managing contingency plans and risks effectively.
Experience of effective communications to various stakeholders including experience with social media to promote and celebrate events

As one of the largest Business Schools in the Asia Pacific region, the College of Business and Law is comprised of five schools – four in Melbourne and one in Vietnam - delivering a broad range of programs in Business, ranging from Certificates up to PHD levels.
