Could you be the full-time Electrical Engineer in Cerro Negro, Madrid we’re looking for?

 

Your future role  

Take on a new challenge and apply your electrical engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside young and proactive teammates.  

 

You'll develop electrical engineering tasks on power equipment, low voltage and control-information solutions, including requirements specification, equipment and functional design, BOM definition, validation and certification activities, so that they contribute to enhance QCD performance and meet Projects and Business Unit objectives. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (external customers, maintenance engineers, project managers, tender department and Depot Manager), Comply with Alstom standards and Quality, Cost, Delay (QCD) commitments while performing electrical engineering tasks and much more.  

 

You’ll specifically take care of defining functional requirements and equipment technical features aligned with customer specifications, but also Support to tenders by providing preliminary technical definitions, studies and calculations for electrical solutions.  

We’ll look to you for:  

  • Comply with Alstom standards and Quality, Cost, Delay (QCD) commitments while performing electrical engineering tasks. 

  • Develop engineering activities with due diligence, self-initiative, coordination, team-working and continuous improvement. 

  • Define functional requirements and equipment technical features aligned with customer specifications. 

  • Perform the system design, studies, calculations and complete BOM definition to enable series of production or acquisition. 

  • Secure the system validation and performances demonstration, and support Certification and Homologation processes for those new or re-designed electrical solutions, preparing and providing both technical and documentation evidences. 

  • Apply innovative technologies and processes to electrical design, including new materials and processes, and those providing benefits in the field of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance. 

  • Open and trusty relationships with internal and external customers, providing the required technical clarifications and support for troubleshooting. 

  • Effective resolution of service failures in electrical, power, and control-information components being either part of rolling stock, infrastructure or maintained facilities. 

  • Support to tenders by providing preliminary technical definitions, studies and calculations for electrical solutions, as well as optimized design, installation, validation and homologation costs 

 

All about you  

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:  

  • University degree in Industrial Engineering, Electrical, Electronics or related.  

  • At least 2 years of experience as an Electrical Engineer.  

  • Demonstrable experience using CAD design tools.  

  • Valuable experience in electromechanical design and integration, including Industrial control equipment and PLC.  

  • Demonstrable experience in electrical equipment design, as well as in solving technical issues, obsolescence and expertizing electrical and power equipment. 

  • English level intermediate or advanced.
