Role: Family Practitioner 

Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum (according to experience and qualifications)

Location: Newcastle (Inner West)

Contract/Hours:  Permanent - Full Time - 37 hours a week – to meet the family’s needs.

A bit about the role 

We work as part of Newcastle Early Help System, supporting children, young people, and their families with children between the ages 0-19 years old. The service offers a range of family interventions promoting positive outcomes for children.

The service also provides a range of holiday activities for children and families with our Family Practitioners actively supporting us. 

Who we are looking for:

  • Level 3 Qualified Family Practitioners.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable children, young people, and families.
  • Understanding of GDPR, Safeguarding and relevant policies.
  • Language skills desirable in Urdu, Slovakian, Czech, or Bengali but not essential
  • Someone with knowledge of Early help system and whole family working 

What you'll be doing

  • Listening and building trust.
  • Delivering evidence-based and evident informed group work. 
  • Working whole family, using Early Help assessments 
  • Making home visits working with families and their goals 
  • Working multi agency such as health colleague s, housing and education 
  • Using relational practice an the Solihull approach 
  • Understanding safeguarding and GDPR
