Assistant Women's Soccer Coach - Part Time

Position Purpose: Union College, a highly selective liberal arts institution located in Schenectady, New York is accepting applications for the position of part time Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. The women’s soccer program is a member of NCAA Division III and the Liberty League. 

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

This position will assist the Head Coach of the women’s soccer program in training and during competition. In addition to skill instruction and development, this individual will assist with:

• Film - review game film, clips & make notes in playlists for the team to prep for film sessions, offer times to meet with players individually to go over film.

• Tactics & Game strategy - spend time during the day in the office with the coaching staff going over how the team can be more productive on the field & how to create more goal scoring opportunities.

• Gear - assisting with gear distribution & organization.

• Gameday prep & travel - Helping to organize food for the bus & postgame meals and getting equipment ready for the bus trips.

Qualifications:

• Previous collegiate coaching or playing experience preferred.

• Possess solid organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

• Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations.

• Candidate must be able to successfully communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals.

Compensation:

The expected rate for this position is $15.50 an hour. Except for roles with a set rate of pay, the wage/salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The stated hiring rate/range represents the College’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate/range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
