BTEC Academics at HU:

Harrisburg University offers a BS and MS in BTEC in addition to post BS certificates in Biomanufacturing, Medical Biotechnology, and Business and Management in Biotechnology. The program is very robust and comprehensive with sound foundational concepts in natural sciences with add-on applied concepts with ability to specialize in one/more of the following – 

Food Safety and Quality Assurance, General Biotechnology, Medical Biotechnology, Nanobiotechnology, Nanobiotechnology-Nanofabrication, and Pharmaceutical Drug Design.

For more than15 years, the HU BTEC program has been the host to a Workforce Training entity -Capital Area Biotechnology Partnership (CABP, https://www.harrisburgu.edu/capital-area-biotechnology-partnership/). With this in place, HU-BTEC has established excellent industry-government-academia partnerships. 

The university has state-of-the art instrumentation enabling faculty-students the opportunity to perform cutting-edge research.

We are looking for entrepreneurs and leaders with solid academic and research backgrounds who can shape our rapidly growing programs.    

If you have the following, then we are looking for YOU: 

• Earned master's or doctorate from an accredited university- in any one from the following- Molecular Biotechnology, Bio-Medical Sciences, Molecular Medicine, or a related Scientific Discipline 
• University level teaching Experience. (online/hybrid format of teaching is preferred but not required)
• Ability to collaborate and be a team-member
• Experience in working with diverse student populations
• Ability to initiate and supervise interdisciplinary research with graduates and undergraduates
• Excellent Hands-on skills related to molecular biotechnology, nanobiotechnology or biomedical research.
• Excellent student evaluations at university-level teaching experience
• Curriculum development (preferred, but not required)
