Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Specialist to join our Neurology Clinic. As a Medical Office Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the clinic by providing administrative support to the medical staff and patients.


Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner

- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar

- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations

- Collect patient information and update medical records

- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries

- Process patient payments

- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order as needed

- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinic policies


 This position is full time.  No weekends,  No holidays.  Health, vision, and dental insurance.  401K-match.  Profit sharing opportunities available.

Requirements

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience in a medical office setting preferred

- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
