Role Overview:

 

We are looking for a skilled and strategic Human Resources Manager to lead our HR operations in Spain. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership capabilities, a hands-on approach, and a passion for people development. You will oversee core HR functions including talent acquisition, employee relations, training, performance management, and legal compliance, ensuring alignment with our organisational goals and values.

 

This position reports directly to the HR Director of Pestana Hotel Group and collaborates closely with the Senior Area Operations Manager and the Hotel General Managers of our three Spanish units: 

 

  • Pestana Plaza Mayor, Madrid
  • Pestana CR7 Gran Vía, Madrid
  • Pestana Arenas, Barcelona

 

Key Responsibilities: 

 

  • Talent Acquisition: Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job analysis, sourcing, interviewing, and hiring. 
  • Employee Relations: Address employee grievances, promote a positive workplace culture, and resolve conflicts effectively. 
  • Training & Development: Identify training needs and implement development programs to enhance employee skills and performance. 
  • Compensation & Benefits: Oversee compensation structures and administer benefits programs in compliance with local regulations. 
  • Performance Management: Implement appraisal systems and provide coaching to support employee growth. 
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure adherence to labour laws and internal HR policies to mitigate legal risks. 
  • Strategic Planning: Align HR strategies with business objectives and contribute to organisational development. 
  • Employee Engagement: Develop initiatives to boost engagement and monitor employee satisfaction.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in HR management, ideally within hospitality or multinational environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Spanish labour legislation and HR best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on problem-solving abilities. 
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and tools such as SAP; advanced skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.
