TITLE OF POSITION:    Administrative Specialist III/ Testing Coordinator

 

BARGAINING UNIT/SALARY RANGE: MSEA Support/ Range 12

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

This position provides clerical and administrative support to the Trade and Technology Department, including planning, prioritizing, and completing assigned tasks, and preparing documents and records for the Department Chair and all trade facilities. The Administrative Specialist III supports departmental functions by creating and maintaining accurate files and supervising work-study students. The position also provides customer service to students, faculty, and staff by assisting with departmental procedures and ensuring efficient daily operations. In addition, this role serves as the Testing Coordinator for the NMCC Testing Center, coordinating and overseeing day-to-day operations, developing the annual testing schedule, communicating with testing companies regarding candidate availability, and maintaining documentation of all testing activities. The incumbent researches and recommends industry certifications to administer, recruits’ participants, ensures compliance with each testing company’s policies and procedures, maintains site security, and tracks test center activity and revenue.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Associates Degree or equivalent and 3 years’ experience of administrative/office work. Experience with scheduling services while adhering multiple platform regulations and Certified Testing Proctor preferred. Expected to become Certified within 45 days of hire.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: 

Must have excellent customer service skills. Highly organized and detail-oriented with effective written and oral communication skills. Strong time management skills and excellent problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently with minimal directly. Ability to multitask.
