Serving as the point of contact for patient escort, you will play a vital role in ensuring patient satisfaction and quality care. Team Impact

In this role, you will have the opportunity to aid our patients by escorting them throughout the hospital grounds. You will be helping the organization function well by transporting medical records, and materials to various stakeholders and departments in the hospital. How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

Responsibilities

  • Transport patients by wheelchair, stretcher, or bed
  • Transport patients safely with or without special equipment
  • Maintain and change oxygen and gauges as needed
  • Transport specimens, schedules, and other items with a reasonable turnaround time
  • Stock, clean, and upkeep equipment needed for patient transport

Qualifications/Experience

 

Education/Accredited Programs

  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or higher preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred

Experience/Abilities

  • No experience required
  • 1-2 years of patient care and/or customer service experience is preferred
  • Experience or training responding to emergency situations highly preferred

      Licenses/Certificates/Registrations:

  • Must have or obtain Basic Life Support certification within 3 months of hire

      Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent positive communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to read & interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Able to learn & use computers and printers
  • Able to recognize and select correct course of action in all segments of transportation
  • Clerical skills
  • Basic math and reading skills

Licenses/Certificates/Registrations

  • Current CPR certification within 3 months after hire

Salary Range
The expected base rate for this Glens Falls, New York, United States-based position is $17.25 to $22.50 per hour. Exact rate is determined on a case-by-case basis commensurate with experience level, as well as education and certifications pertaining to each position which may be above the listed job requirements.
