Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responds to all hotel issues and problems to make sure the hotel runs smoothly each day.
  • Leads, trains & mentors staff including hiring, coaching development, performing evaluations, disciplinary actions and terminations as per General Manager.
  • Ensures the quarterly and annual revenue goals are achieved for the hotel.
  • Partnering with senior leadership at the properties under your oversight, and holding them accountable to ensure that the operation is Creating Exceptional Guest Experiences & Achieving Profitability
  •  Assumes responsibility and is acting manager of hotel when General Manger is in a meeting with clients or the CEO of company.
  • Responds professionally and helpfully to all team members and guest issues
  • Assists at Front Desk when they become exceedingly busy and/or understaffed for the day.
  • Ensures that all hotel standards and guidelines are being followed.
  • Checks in on all departments and reports to the General Manager of any concerns or issues.
  • Answers phone calls and solves the guest’s requests or complaints when needed.
  • Ensures that hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines are followed.
  • Attends and participates in property revenue meetings ensuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.
  • Maintains good rapport with local civic groups and companies
  • Timely  submission  of  required  reports  to  General  Manager  and  Owner.           
  • Ensures staff is properly trained according to OHM and brand standards to provide world-class guest service.
  • Supports team member recognition and engagement programs.
  • Manages in compliance with local, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Reports to work for scheduled shifts, on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy.
  • Knows and complies with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties.
  • Takes the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner.
  • Embrace O’Reach, OHX Experience, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Exercise excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management and listening skills.
  • Have computer skills including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Presenting professionally and persuasively to individuals and team members.
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge of all aspects of the hotel and services offered.
  • Teaching, mentoring and training new team members
  • Demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm always.
  • Use analytical skills for measuring business potential and value to the hotel.
  • Interact with all levels of customers and hotel management.
  • Being comfortable with the high level of visibility and the leadership role within the hotel and community.

Education:

  • Comprehensive firsthand Hospitality experience
  • Minimum 3 years Hotel Experience in Operations
  • Hospitality Degree

Language Development:

  • Reading: Read, understand and instruct.
  • Writing: Write reports with proper format, punctuation, spelling and grammar, using all parts of speech.
  • Speaking: Speak with poise, voice control and confidence, using correct English and well-modulated voice.

Working Conditions:

  • General interior office environment.
  • Minimum distraction primarily from phones and brief interruptions.
  • Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
