The overall purpose of this role is to provide support to the Instant Scratch-Its team to deliver communications, advertising, and promotional activity consistent with brand values and positioning, to help achieve strategic objectives. The Marketing Coordinator is a key point of contact with external stakeholders including printing and distribution contacts.

This position also works closely with all members of the Instant Scratch-Its brand team, and collaborates with other teams including The Creative Studio, CRM, Retail Communications, Employee Communications, Distribution, Performance Marketing, Legal and Responsible Gambling teams. Please note this is a 12 month, fixed term contract opportunity.

What you’ll do

  • Coordinate point-of-sale (POS) strategy across all ISI campaigns. Develop detailed POS briefs for internal creative teams, manage POS budget, liaise with key print and warehouse stakeholders to ensure timely print and distribution of all POS materials. 
  • Develop marketing materials for use across owned, earned and above the line channels to support tactical marketing campaigns and annual events, including local area marketing (LAM) materials and other items for use by retailers.
  • Provide retail team with relevant and timely communications to support ISI campaign activity, including developing communications statements, monitoring retailer Facebook groups, newsletters, and Retailers Web resources.
  • Develop and execute employee communications strategies, including content creation and promotions, to align with ISI brand values and key campaign objectives. 
  • Assist in the month-end budgeting and expenditure reconciliation process as well as weekly reporting requirements.
  • Assist the Instant Scratch-Its Senior Marketing Manager in the implementation of strategic projects, and the Brand Managers in day-to-day operational projects.
  • Ensure all marketing activities are conducted within Lotteries Compliance, Responsible Play and Legal framework.

What you’ll bring

  • 1 to 2 years relevant marketing experience.
  • Must have formal marketing training, e.g. marketing degree or Mini-MBA level. 
  • Experience in meeting strict deadlines and adhering to a set of processes.
  • Experience in developing print material such as point-of-sale campaigns and managing print suppliers to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in the creative design process.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advertising and media processes.
  • You are a team player who demonstrates a high standard of work quality, accuracy, timeliness, organisational skills and an outstanding attention to detail.
  • Strong and concise written and verbal communication skills to deliver clear feedback and information.
  • Creativity and a flexible approach to situations and changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and foster strong relationships with suppliers and key stakeholders
