Chevron Colombia is accepting applications for the position of Specialist, Field Operations in Medellín until October 26, 2025, at 11:59 p.m.

This person will be responsible for overall logistics fuels operations, engineering, and secondary distribution and for dealing with external stakeholders and executing long term terminal strategic plans

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises   and coordinates the terminal’s daily operational activities, including product receipts, transfers, loading rack operations, tank field operations, quality control, inventory management and daily/monthly reconciliation, routine maintenances, and matters related to Operational Excellence and HES. All activities are carried out in alignment with clean, safe, reliable, efficient, and environmentally responsible operations.

  • Ensures compliance with all CVX processes and standard operating procedures by all people under their supervision. Guarantees that safe work practices are followed. Conducts frequent Operational Excellence (OE) walkabouts  related to facilities and work, and participates in management OE walkabouts  at the terminal. Actively involved in safety meeting briefs.

  • Provides training and supervision to plant operators, analytical and administrative personnel, and contractors who support  terminal operations. Along with terminal manager  Coordinates   staff training and development.

  • Takes part in  the development of the terminal’s capital and OPEX budgets and provides local support to monitor and cost controls , cash flow, and projects execution. Responsible for executing routine maintenance activities, including prioritizing daily work to support reliability efforts and cost management. Proactively seeks and implements cost savings and revenue-generating opportunities aligned with the long-term facility strategy. Works with the Terminal Manager and Facilities Engineer to define capital requirements for the area. Executes multi-year inspection plans for both tanks and piping in accordance with API-653 and API-670 standards.

  • Participates in incident and near-incident investigations at the Terminal and ensures that agreed corrective actions are completed in a timely manner. Manage the control and registration process in digital tools, making sure that they are all entered.


Required Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree.

  • Advanced English Skills.

  • 5+ Years of experience with similar responsibilities


Preferred Education Qualifications:

  • Oil & Gas Industry.

Relocation is not offered for this role. Only local candidates will be considered.
