About the role

As the Station Assistant, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Operational Group. 

This is a great entry level role into V/Line where you will maintain the delivery of service to customers ensuring the provision of best possible train and coach services to V/Line passengers.

Key accountabilities include:

•    Assisting in the overall presentation and cleaning of the station
•    Oversee and ensure the safe operation of the coach interchange
•    Passenger assistance
•    Handling of lost property
•    Regular inspection of the station to ensure standards are being maintained
•    The role may include helping passengers with luggage, this may or may not include using a motorised device if suitably qualified

Our ideal candidate will possess the following:

·    Completion of secondary school education (minimum Year 10) with experience in customer service or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education / training
·    Previous experience in customer service roles
·    First Aid – Level 2 may be required
·    Commitment to customer service
·    Team focus
·    Problem solver with strong communication skills
