General Job Description:
Performing industrial maintenance cleaning work, including vacuuming industrial waste/materials (solids, sludges and liquids) and hydro-blast cleaning various surfaces, dry ice blast cleaning of various surfaces. Must read and write English; enabling employees to complete job-related paperwork necessary for billing/payroll purposes, document truck inspections, read maps/ directions to job site, read safety warnings, etc.

Position: Hydro-Blast/Vacuum Technician
Location: Birmingham, AL
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour (Negotiable based on experience and License)

Specific Job Duties:
- Class B – CDL preferred for vacuum truck operators, allowing the employee to drive the truck from the shop to job site and back to the shop again, operating industrial vacuum trucks, tankers, hydro-blasters, etc. CDL is not required for hydro-blast operators.
- Employees must assist in the setup/breakdown of vacuum piping/hoses and hydro hose runs, working in impervious coveralls and respiratory protection to protect employees from chemical exposure due to inhalation, skin absorption/contact with industrial chemical/materials.
- Employees are directly responsible for assisting in the establishment/implementation of safety practices on a job basis.
- Employees must be physically capable of instituting such practices, without posing a threat to the health and safety of themselves and/or co-workers.
Requirements:
Must have a valid driver license. CDL-B with tank endorsement for vacuum truck drivers.
Previous outdoor labor, driving, transportation, or construction experience preferred.
