About this Role:

NorthStar Energy Services, a Quanta Services Company, is seeking a highly detail-oriented and collaborative Project Controls Analyst to support the execution of capital and operational projects. This role is essential to maintaining cost and schedule integrity, tracking job progress, and ensuring that all project activities are accurately documented and aligned with project scope, safety, and delivery expectations.

 

This position will be located ON-SITE in Afton, TX.

What You'll Do:
  • Monitor project progress with precision, ensuring accurate tracking of milestones, deliverables, and resource usage.
  • Maintain detailed records of project costs, schedules, and scope changes to promote transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Scheduler to align cost and schedule data, assess performance, and validate progress against plan.
  • Work with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to verify quantities, resource allocation, and work completion.
  • Interpret construction drawings and diagrams to confirm project scope and track field installation progress.
  • Assist in managing change control processes and ensure scope adjustments are accurately documented.
  • Prepare and distribute clear, timely reports on project performance, cost status, and schedule variance.
  • Ensure compliance with internal project control procedures and quality standards.
  • Proactively identify discrepancies, risks, and areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related technical discipline, preferred
  • Certifications such as CCP, PSP, or PMP, preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in project controls, cost management, or scheduling
  • Background in electrical infrastructure, oil & gas, petrochemical, or data center construction, preferred
  • Familiarity with earned value management (EVM) and project lifecycle documentation, preferred
  • Experience collaborating across multi-disciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, and project management
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data management
  • Proficiency with project control tools such as Excel, SAP, and Primavera P6
