ACCOUNTING MANAGER na Twenty Four Seven Hotels

Job Duties

Collaborate with the Controllers in managing hotels’ cash flow and insuring all invoices are prioritized and paid on time.

Accurately maintain accounting records and ensure adherence to GAAP

Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures; recommend system enhancements

Prepare cash reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations with accuracy

Prepare and pay all hotels’ sales and use tax (TOT’s and state sales/use tax returns) in an accurate and timely basis  

Ensure work is uploaded and reviewed in time to meet monthly deadlines  

Assist team with input and post all portfolio hotels’ invoices into the company accounting system. 

Ensure and cross-check general ledger coding entered by the hotels.  

Ensure all Hotels’ invoices have been uploaded into the company shared drive and are ready for further processing  

Stay current on all applicable state and local tax laws and changes that may be required for monthly reporting.

Upload monthly Bank Statements, Daily Account Balance Worksheet, Open A/P Trade Aged Report in hotel’s designated directory in SharePoint.  

Update Check Numbers on Capital Expenditures and work with GMs to ensure all invoices have been uploaded into the Cap Ex. drive.

Maintain effective communication, interactions and positive relationships with General Managers, property accounting Associates, vendors and other Corporate Associates.  

Provides necessary data to maintain positive Owner Relations

Requirements

• ^{4-Year College degree, preferably within Accounting or Finance or equivalent work experience in hotel accounting.}
• ^{Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards}
• ^{Strong experience in accounting systems including BirchStreet, ProfitSword and Aptec}
• ^{3+ years experience working with high volume accounts payable workplace}
• ^{Excellent Guest Service, Computer, Communication Skills are required via verbal, written and electronic means.}
