geniant, an experience design consultancy is seeking a Senior Experience Designer for our San Francisco Studio. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the overall user experience across our various client engagements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, engineers, and other designers to conceptualize and design user-centric solutions that meet both user needs and client objectives.
We’re seeking a Lead Product Designer (Contract) to lead design for innovative, AI-enabled digital experiences with a major global financial institution. This is a hands-on and strategic role that blends systems thinking, interaction design, and applied AI understanding. You’ll help shape next-generation experiences where intelligent tools, automation, and personalization are integral to how people work, communicate, and make decisions.
You’ll collaborate closely with geniant’s design leadership, product, and technology partners to define the structure, behaviors, and workflows of complex, data-driven interfaces. The ideal candidate brings a deep appreciation for design craft, a curiosity for emerging technology, and comfort working across distributed global teams. Remote with preference to the US East Coast as working hours must align to Madrid, Spain – GMT+2
What you’ll do
- Lead product design for intelligent systems – Translate business goals and user needs into cohesive, scalable digital experiences that integrate AI capabilities naturally.
- Design with AI in mind – Work with teams leveraging generative AI, automation, and adaptive systems to design interactions that are transparent, trustworthy, and human-centered.
- Integrate AI design tools – Use emerging tools such as Figma Make, Chat-GPT, or other AI-assisted design platforms to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design-to-code workflows.
- Collaborate globally – Partner with cross-regional product, tech, and design teams to ensure solutions reflect both global consistency and local relevance.
- Prototype and validate – Rapidly test new interaction patterns for AI-driven interfaces, including predictive inputs, conversational flows, and dynamic feedback systems.
- Drive design excellence – Maintain high visual and interaction design standards, ensuring clarity, accessibility, and consistency across complex interfaces.
- Mentor and advocate – Guide teams and clients on best practices for integrating AI into user experience strategy and execution.
What you’ll bring
- 6+ years of product design experience, including work on data-driven, AI-assisted, or complex digital systems.
- Strong proficiency in Figma (components, libraries, prototyping, and collaboration workflows).
- Familiarity with AI design tools
- Understanding of AI interaction patterns, including transparency, feedback, and ethical design principles.
- Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Strong systems thinking—balancing detailed design with the scalability of patterns and components.
- Excellent visual craft, documentation, and presentation skills.
- Experience designing for global or multi-market audiences is a plus.
- Background in enterprise or financial services environments is advantageous but not required.
