Job Summary: This full-time position is responsible for overseeing daily branch operations, ensuring efficiency and compliance, and driving profitability. This role includes leading and developing staff, managing the loan pipeline, coordinating with corporate teams while upholding LoanPeople’s values and fostering a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities:

● Oversee the day-to-day operations of the branch office to ensure efficiency, and compliance.

● Recruit, evaluate, and select branch operations staff, processors, and other mortgage professionals, building a high-performance team.

● Provide leadership, training, coaching, and performance management to staff.

● Develop and maintain branch coverage plans to ensure critical operational functions are maintained during employee absences, vacancies, or volume surges. AND Assist in the implementation and enforcement of corporate policy and procedural changes, ensuring consistent application across branch operations.

● Proactively monitor and manage the branch pipeline - ensure loans move through processing, underwriting, closing, and funding phases smoothly and on schedule.

● Identify bottlenecks or process breakdowns and implement corrective action.

● Maintain oversight of quality assurance, compliance, document accuracy, and regulatory requirements.

● Assist the corporate office by following up on trailing documents, clearing outstanding conditions, and resolving exceptions as needed.

● Prepare loan business forecasts and other operational reports.

● Generate regular reports (e.g. pipeline status, conversion metrics, cycle times, staffing productivity) for the Branch Manager.

● Participate in recurring leadership and operations meetings; provide feedback, suggest process improvements, flag trends, and collaborate on strategic initiatives.

● Serve as an escalation point for issues affecting branch operations - customer complaints, staffing conflicts, procedural breakdowns.

● Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices; ensure branch adapts as needed.

● Active participation in supporting company culture, including engagement in events, initiatives, and activities that reinforce company core values.


Requirements:

● Minimum of 5+ years in mortgage operations or mortgage processing, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.

● Deep understanding of the full mortgage lifecycle (origination, processing, underwriting, closing, funding).

● Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations (TRID, TILA, RESPA, HMDA, etc.).

● Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat, and internet navigation; tech-savvy with the ability to quickly learn new software and systems.

● Demonstrated track record of effective, proactive, and precise verbal and written communication skills.

● Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize tasks, multi-task, manage time efficiently, and solve problems independently in a fast-paced environment.

● Self-starter with a resourceful attitude, capable of identifying, owning, and resolving issues effectively.

● Strong mathematical and analytical abilities to support decision-making and problem-solving.

● Good judgment with the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
